Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our leisure travel team focused on selling holidays in India. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning trips within India for our clients and providing them exceptional customer service, maintaining excellent relations with hotels, our destination management partners, car rental service providers.

In addition, the travel consultant is also expected to update the CRM with enquiries, update the website with packages and offers, contribute content for our social media handles including e-newsletters and stay updated with developments and changes in the travel industry,

Role Description :

The job description of the Leisure Travel Consultant will include :

Handling client enquiries for their India travel requirements and providing exceptional customer service

Planning travel itineraries as per the client brief

Co-ordinating with the various travel service providers for seamless execution of the travel itinerary - hotels, car rental providers, destination management companies

Maintaining relationships with existing travel service providers

Building relationships with new travel service providers

Negotiating with travel service providers to offer the best value to the client

Researching new travel experiences within India and offering to clients as per their requirements

Updating the travel website with travel itineraries and offers

Updating the CRM with new enquiries and tracking enquiry to conversion ratio

Contributing content for the social media handles of the company including e-newsletters

Keeping up to date with the travel industry trends and developments

Qualifications - Personal Skill Set :

1) Customer Service and Sales skills

2) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

3) Good time management skills

4) Attention to detail and accuracy

5) Good negotiation skills

6) Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications - Technical Skill Set :

1) Diploma or Bachelor's degree is a must - in Travel & Tourism or IATA qualification is an added plus

2) Some prior experience in selling holidays in India or has travelled within India

3) Good knowledge of the key attractions in the main states in India is an added bonus

3) Good computer knowledge, MS Office
