Full job description
We are seeking an experienced Machine Shop Production Engineer to manage and optimize production in our machine shop, ensuring high-quality output and efficiency. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and effective leadership to maintain seamless operations and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily production activities in the machine shop to meet quality and timeline requirements.
• Set up and monitor machinery, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
• Troubleshoot issues in the production process and perform preventive maintenance on machines to reduce downtime.
• Collaborate with the design and quality control teams to ensure specifications and standards are met.
• Optimize production processes, focusing on productivity, cost reduction, and efficiency.
• Maintain accurate documentation of production logs, machine usage, and maintenance schedules.
• Train and mentor machine operators on best practices, safety protocols, and machinery operations.
Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years in a machine shop environment, with hands-on production engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of CNC machines, milling, drilling, and turning operations.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and quality control standards in manufacturing.
