Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Node.js Developer with a passion for building scalable and high-performance applications. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams and clients, requiring strong verbal and written communication skills to ensure the clear understanding of requirements, design, and progress. The ideal candidate will be able to communicate technical details effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain server-side applications using Node.js.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Build, maintain, and optimize APIs (RESTful, GraphQL).
• Write clean, reusable, and efficient code while ensuring performance and scalability.
• Participate in client meetings, project discussions, and provide timely updates in both written and verbal formats.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing systems.
• Design and implement low-latency, high-availability applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Maintain clear, accurate documentation and technical reports.
• Contribute to code reviews and uphold best practices in code quality and design.
• Stay current with emerging technologies, trends, and practices in Node.js and backend development.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and Node.js.
• In-depth knowledge of Express.js or similar frameworks.
• Familiarity with databases such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Redis.
• Experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs and GraphQL services.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
• Experience working with version control tools such as Git.
• Knowledge of authentication protocols such as JWT or OAuth.
• Ability to write detailed technical documentation.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with front-end technologies (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
• Knowledge of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) processes.
• Experience with testing frameworks like Jest, Mocha, or Chai.
Educational Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
