Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and skilled InstallShield Developer to join our team. The InstallShield Developer will be responsible for creating and maintaining installers for our software products using InstallShield, focusing on versions 2019, 2021 and 2023. This role requires expertise in SQL, C#, Visual Studio, windows 10,11, excellent communication skills, and a strong willingness to adapt and learn new technologies.
Skills Required :
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Proven experience in software installation, particularly with InstallShield 2019, 2021 and 2023.
• Proficiency in SQL for database integration and manipulation.
• Strong programming skills in C# for creating custom actions and scripting within InstallShield.
• Experience with Visual Studio and version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Candidates should possess experience in Windows Installer, Install Shield, and Install Script.
• They should also have practical experience in creating MSIs using Install Shield.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and clients.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Design, create, and maintain installation packages for our software products using InstallShield 2019, 2021 and 2023
• Experience working with a spectrum of Windows operating systems, including Windows 10, Windows 11, and various Windows Server versions such as 2012, 2016, 2019, and 2022.
• Should have experience in creating Web Applications and Services using InstallShield.
• Collaborate with the development team to ensure proper integration of SQL databases into installation packages, including database schema updates and data migrations.
• Implement custom actions using C# scripting within InstallShield to handle specific installation and configuration requirements.
• Maintain version control for installation packages and collaborate with the team to ensure smooth deployments and updates.
• Integrate the installation packages with Visual Studio for seamless development and debugging.
• Create detailed documentation for installation and configuration processes, making it easier for end-users to install and troubleshoot our software.
• Experience in configuring installations for Windows Authentication, Group Policies and Account Permissions.
• Testing and Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing of installation packages to ensure they work correctly across various environments and configurations.
• Provide timely support to internal teams and external clients by addressing installation-related inquiries and issues. Maintain effective communication with team members and clients.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies, and be willing to learn and adapt to new tools and methods for software installation and deployment.
