The editorial team is responsible for verifying the legitimacy of statistical data and facts, proofreading, and enhancing the quality of content before it goes live on our website.

Responsibilities:

Editing and publishing 25-30 articles daily in our in-house style.Proofreading articles to ensure no avoidable errors - grammatical or otherwise - remain and checking plagiarism in the articles before they’re publishedResearching to ensure veracity of facts as well as identifying incorrect claims and eliminating them immediatelyPublishing of articles in a timely fashion for priority news-based articlesEnsuring smooth daily operations in the allocated divisionsUndertaking other key duties as instructed by the Editorial Team Lead

You have a good grasp of the fundamentals of the English language and are accustomed to American cultureYou are quick with fact-checking and enhancing the editorial quality of contentYou are comfortable editing articles across the domains of sports and entertainment majorlyYou take complete ownership of publishing articles on timeYou have a keen eye for enticing titles and subheadings and possess basic SEO knowledge

Requirements:

A minimum of

12 months of experience

in proofreading and/or content editingPrior experience of leading a team of writers would be an additional plus
