> Our company is dedicated to providing the Design and Development of Electric Motor and Drive Technology focused on Energy Efficiency, Electric Vehicles, Drones, Robots and any sort of motor-driven applications.
> We offer Design from scratch based on Custom Design requirements, Prototyping Services, Batch and Mass Production to feel this humble technology, very particularly on Brushless Permanent Magnet Motor, Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor, Axial Flux Motor, PCB Stator Motor and corresponding drive controller technologies.
> Role Description
> We are looking for an Electric Machine Design Engineer with expertise in designing and developing high-performance electric motors. The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in electromagnetic simulations, motor control systems, and material science, along with hands-on experience using specialized motor design software. The candidate will play a key role in prototyping, testing, and optimizing motor designs to meet both customer and internal specifications.
> Key Skills:
> Electromagnetic Theory: A solid understanding of electromagnetic principles and theories is crucial for designing efficient motors (e.g., BLDC, PMSM)
> Motor Design Software: Perform Electromagnetic Simulations in specialized motor design software like Motor CAD, Motor solve, Ansys Maxwell 2D and 3D or similar software to analyse magnetic field distribution, flux density, speed, torque and other characteristics of motor designs.
> Material Science: Knowledge of materials used in motor components and their electromagnetic properties is essential for optimizing motor performance.
> Motor Control Systems: Understanding the principles of motor control systems and their integration with BLDC motors is important for developing efficient and reliable systems.
> Testing and Measurement Techniques: Familiarity with testing and measurement tools for characterizing motor performance, including oscilloscopes, power analysers, and other relevant equipment.
> Communication Skills: Effectively communicating design concepts and results, both verbally and in writing.
> Documentation Skills: Thorough documentation of design processes, results, and changes is important for future reference and continuous improvement.
> Continuous Learning: Given the rapid advancements in motor technology, a willingness to stay updated on the latest industry trends and technological developments is essential.
> Key Responsibilities:
> Design and Development: Lead the design and development of electric motors, including BLDC, PMSM, and other motor types, based on customer specifications and industry standards.
> Electromagnetic Simulation: Perform electromagnetic simulations using software like MotorCAD, Motor Solve, and Ansys Maxwell to optimize motor designs for performance metrics such as torque, efficiency, and thermal management.
> Material Selection: Collaborate with material scientists and engineers to select appropriate materials for motor components, ensuring high efficiency and performance under various operating conditions.
> Prototyping and Testing: Oversee the prototyping of motor designs, including performance testing and troubleshooting, using relevant equipment such as power analysers, oscilloscopes, and dynamometers.
> Motor Control Integration: Work with control engineers to develop and integrate motor control systems, ensuring optimal functionality, efficiency, and reliability of the motors in their respective applications.
> Design Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of design processes, simulation results, and changes made to motor designs for future reference and continuous improvement. Project Collaboration: Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, control, and software engineers, to ensure seamless integration of motor designs into larger systems (e.g., electric vehicles, drones).
> Customer Support: Provide technical support to customers during the design phase, addressing inquiries and offering solutions based on product and application requirements.
> Continuous Improvement: Stay current with advancements in motor technology, materials, and industry trends, and apply this knowledge to improve existing designs and processes.
> Qualifications
> Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or a higher qualification in a relevant field
> Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in motor design or a related field.
> Motor Design Software Proficiency: Experience with Motor-CAD, Motor Solve, and Ansys Maxwell (2D and 3D).
> Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers and internal teams.
> Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel to customer sites as required.
