Job description
Key Responsibilities:
- Source and procure materials, equipment, and services required for solar EPC projects, including solar panels, inverters, mounting structures, and cables.
- Evaluate and negotiate with suppliers to ensure cost-effective purchasing while maintaining quality standards.
- Prepare and issue purchase orders, ensuring compliance with company policies and project specifications.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and service providers.
- Monitor vendor performance in terms of quality, delivery timelines, and adherence to agreements.
- Identify and onboard new vendors to enhance the supply chain network.
- Plan and oversee the transportation and delivery of materials to project sites, ensuring adherence to schedules.
- Address and resolve logistics challenges, such as customs clearance, shipping delays, or damaged goods.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and forecast material requirements for ongoing and upcoming projects.
- Implement inventory control measures to prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of materials to avoid damage or loss.
- Analyze procurement and logistics costs to identify opportunities for savings.
- Implement strategies to optimize supply chain efficiency and reduce project costs.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or logistics, preferably in the solar or renewable energy sector.
- Strong understanding of solar EPC materials and equipment.
- Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools
- Excellent negotiation, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
