Job description
The ideal candidate will have excellent creative thinking skills and be able to create designs based on conversations with a client. The candidate should be confident communicating regularly with the client in order to assess their needs and be able to adjust a given approach based on feedback. The candidate should maintain familiarity with the interior design landscape and trends in order to provide the best ideas for clients. Key ResponsibilitiesMeet with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and budget constraints, and develop design concepts accordingly.Create mood boards, and layouts that reflect client vision and requirements.Utilize space planning principles to optimize functionality and flow within the design.Research and recommend materials, finishes, furniture, and decor that align with the design vision and project budget.Prepare detailed drawings and specifications using design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp).Oversee the project timeline, budget, and resources, ensuring all aspects are managed efficiently.Work closely with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure design integrity and compliance with design standards.Conduct site visits to monitor progress and resolve any issues that arise during the implementation phase.Keep up-to-date with industry trends, design innovations, and sustainable practices.Qualifications:Bachelors/Diploma degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.1-2 years of professional experience in interior design.Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3Ds Max,Coohom).Excellent communication,client handling and interpersonal skills.A robust portfolio showcasing previous design projects and concepts..
