Job Purpose

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Scientist with expertise in data architecture and a passion for building cutting-edge solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in Power BI and data visualization, along with a solid understanding of Azure infrastructure and data security. This leadership role requires a strategic mindset, hands-on experience with data modelling and visualization, and the ability to manage complex projects while ensuring data privacy and security.

Main Responsibilities:

Data Visualization & Power BI Expertise
• Spearhead the creation of interactive and intuitive data visualizations using Power BI.
• Design and implement dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions to communicate key business insights to stakeholders.
• Ensure that the visualizations are aligned with business requirements, using advanced features of Power BI for complex analysis and visual storytelling.

Data Architecture & Solution Design
• Maintaining end-to-end data lake architecture solutions by utilizing Microsoft Azure Data Lake, Synapse, and Databricks, with Unity Catalog for centralized data governance and efficient data management.
• Develop scalable, secure, and high-performance data pipelines.
• Hands-on development with Databricks for big data processing and advanced analytics.
• Ensure compliance with data security protocols and standards, safeguarding sensitive data across systems.

Data Science & Analytics Delivery
• Lead the end-to-end process of building and deploying machine learning models to solve business problems
• Drive the application of advanced analytics and machine learning techniques to generate actionable insights.
• Provide guidance on statistical analysis, model development, and data manipulation

Collaboration & Leadership
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into data science solutions
• Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior data scientists and engineers.
• Play a key role in strategic planning for data and analytics capabilities.

Innovation and Continuous Learning
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in ML, Gen AI, and image processing.
• Explore and implement new technologies that can enhance our data science capabilities

Technical Skills:
• Strong expertise in Power BI, including advanced features like DAX, Power Query, and custom visualizations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Azure ecosystem, including Azure Data Lake, Synapse, Data Factory, and other Azure services.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks, Unity Catalog, and data governance practices.
• Solid understanding of data security best practices, including data encryption, access control, and compliance.
• Proficient in programming languages like Python, R, SQL, and/or Spark for data manipulation and analysis.

Preferred Certifications:
• Certifications in Microsoft Power BI, Azure Data Engineering, or related fields.
• Databricks Certified Professional
• Experience with cloud data security frameworks and regulatory compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).

Education: Master’s degree in data science, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or related field.

Experience: 10+ years of experience in data science, analytics, and leadership roles.
